เมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้ World Tourism Forum Lucerne จัดงานประชุมประจำปีในหัวข้อ "ก้าวไปข้างหน้า (Moving Forward)" ที่ อันเดอร์มัท ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ รวบรวมวิทยากรชั้นนําซึ่งเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านอุตสาหกรรมการบริการและคณะกรรมการเพื่อร่วมหารือด้านการท่องเที่ยวให้สามารถก้าวไปข้างหน้าในรูปแบบที่ยั่งยืนและสร้างสรรค์มากขึ้น โดยไฮไลท์เพิ่มเติมที่สำคัญของการประชุมในวันนั้นสำหรับวิทยาลัยดุสิตธานีคือการร่วมเป็นพันธมิตร “ลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU)” กับ World Tourism Forum Lucerne เป็นสมาชิกและเครือข่ายภาคการศึกษาผลิตบุคลากรคุณภาพเข้าสู่อุตสาหกรรมในอนาคต

หนึ่งในหลักการWorld Tourism Forum Lucerne มุ่งเน้นเพื่ออนาคตของอุตสาหกรรมการบริการคือความเชื่อที่ว่า อนาคตของอุตสาหกรรมนี้จะประสบความสำเร็จอย่างยั่งยืนไปไม่ได้หากปราศจากกลไกขับเคลื่อนนั้นก็คือบุคลากรคนรุ่นใหม่ที่มีคุณภาพ จึงเป็นที่มาของโครงการสำคัญ “Young Talent Program”

มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเชื่อมโยงผู้มีความสามารถในระดับมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนําจากทั่วโลกกับซีเอโอ (CEO) และผู้นําในอุตสาหกรรมการบริการ เพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้และพัฒนาผู้มีความสามารถสูงสุดในอุตสาหกรรมการบริการ

วิทยาลัยดุสิตธานี มีความภาคภูมิใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งสำหรับการเข้าร่วมในครั้งนี้ซึ่งถือเป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาของวิทยาลัยได้พบปะผู้นําอุตสาหกรรมและสร้างเครือข่ายในระดับนานาชาติ และยังเป็นการสร้างพัทธมิตรทางวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบัน ผ่านแนวทางความคิดริเริ่มการทำงานวิจัยในเครือข่ายที่รวมหลากหลายสถาบันจาก 6 ทวีปทั่วโลก โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล มหาวิทยาลัยฮ่องกงโพลีเทคนิค ฮ่องกง มหาวิทยาลัยเทย์เลอร์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย มหาวิทยาลัยควีนส์แลนด์ ประเทศออสเตรเลีย มหาวิทยาลัยโจฮันเนสเบิร์ก ประเทศแอฟริกาใต้ มหาวิทยาลัยเซาเปาโล ประเทศบราซิล และมหาวิทยาลัยเพอร์ดู ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา เป็นต้น
